Former American Idol contestants Jordin Sparks and Kris Allen will be headline performers at this year`s annual Mint Jubilee hosted by Bob Costas.
Celebrity guests such as Julie Benz, Jamie Kennedy, Audrina Patridge, Jennifer Tilly, Betsey Johnson, Illeana Douglas, Fred Thompson, Vicki Gunvalson, Linda Davis, Nole Martin, Phil Laak and many others will see the charity event.
Kentucky Derby weekend will kick-off in high style as Louisville and Hollywood collide for the annual Mint Jubilee celebration the dark before the Kentucky Derby. One of the world`s premiere charity events, the Mint Jubilee has helped lift millions of dollars for cancer research and treatment since 1996. The black-tie event will be hosted by Mint Jubilee co-founders Matt Battaglia, Chris Thieneman and Tom Thieneman along with legendary sportscaster Bob Costas. The eventide will admit a cocktail reception, gala dinner and exciting live musical performances from "American Idol" winners Jordin Sparks and Kris Allen.
The Mint Jubilee began as a way to give an encroachment on cancer research, raise awareness of the struggles of cancer patients and at the same time honor co-founder Matt Battaglia`s mother who lost her conflict with cancer in 1993.The Mint Jubilee continues to go to provide resources to non-profit organizations attached to finding cures and controls for cancer and other relevant non-profit organizations.
The Mint Jubilee Foundation is a nonprofit organization committed to helping cancer patients in the region. Led by compassionate advocates whose lives have been affected by the disease, The Mint Jubilee Foundation is consecrated to up the health and well-being of cancer patients by increasing awareness, expanding resources and ultimately helping find a remedy for cancer.
The imagination is funded mainly by the return from the Mint Jubilee Gala, and the Foundation gives various annual grants to cancer affiliated organizations who call the ongoing needs of cancer care in our community. The Mint Jubilee pro-actively seeks organizations who tackle cancer care in new and creative ways to give a heavy affect on the travel to get a cure.
