Idol Comparisons: Casey VS. Pia

Casey is one heck of a musician and Pia is one heck of a vocalist. Both excelling in different categories.

We all recognize that being an Idol is not only being very talented in medicine but it`s the whole package as well as the person`s ability to sustain popularity throughout the years. We`ve seen most Idols grab the candy bag and never see them again.

I don`t even remember some of the Idols anymore except for those who got big like Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood, Adam Lambert, Chris Daughtry, Clay Aiken, Jordin Sparks, Jennifer Hudson. Whatever happened to the rest of the idols? They stopped dreaming? Woke up to reality that by not winning the competition their music career ended there?

I hope this season`s Idols would push farther and produce songs that would make it to the top of charts. I believe in them, in their talent to make people watch American Idol once again. I watched this season`s American Idol not because of the judges but because of the many talents and different genres they each represent. I sure do miss Simon because he can push the contestants to do more and be more. But this year, even without him telling everyone`s fighting to be on top.

I assure you, it`s hard to tell who`s gonna win this season unlike in the preceding seasons where you love this certain Idol has it in the bag. We definitely can`t say for this season who has it in the bag because all of them are amazing already. Real talent this time.

But second to Casey and Pia. Casey may be lacking in the looks department for some people (but I dig that look) but he has the musicality, the vibe, the soul and the screaming madness which I adore. He has the charms as well and star quality (for me). Pia has the looks, star quality, the voice, the passion, the high notes, the power voice and the drive to win this. Both are consistent as well. But, I think Casey has the uniqueness Pia lacks. That`s exactly what separates them both giving Casey an edge over Pia.

But still, we can`t decide now who got it in the bag because I think a lot of them do. The key to existence the next American Idol here will most probably rely on the votes and their consistent performances.
